The independent achievement of research and development and lawful approval of Gendone’s coated guanidinoacetic acid represent a systematic outcome of long-term technical breakthroughs and standardized application procedures. In 2021, after several years of technical exploration, Gendone successfully developed a coated guanidinoacetic acid product with an effective content of over 70%, a rumen bypass rate of over 90%, and a small intestinal absorption rate of over 90%. This technological breakthrough filled a gap in relevant fields both domestically and internationally.

In 2022, Gendone formally submitted a product approval application to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA). The application dossier incorporated the core findings of authoritative research reports from the team of Professor Zhou Zhenming at the Beef Cattle Research Center of China Agricultural University — including the complete set of experimental data on the efficacy and tolerance of coated guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) independently developed and produced by Gendone, as well as the production process and product quality standards. All relevant core data and technical documentation were reviewed and confirmed by the China National Center for Quality Inspection of Feed (Beijing), thereby ensuring the scientific validity and credibility of the submitted materials.

Following multiple rounds of rigorous review and professional evaluation by the National Feed Evaluation Committee of MARA, the Ministry issued Announcement No. 982, formally approving the legal use of coated guanidinoacetic acid in fattening beef cattle. At the same time, the announcement officially recognized Gendone’s major innovation in the addition-process production technology for guanidinoacetic acid.

This approval represents an authoritative national validation of the efficacy and safety of Gendone’s coated guanidinoacetic acid product. The application process was led by Gendone throughout, and the approval document primarily applies to the coated guanidinoacetic acid product independently developed by Gendone. As the core initiator and key driver for the legal application of coated guanidinoacetic acid in beef cattle farming, Gendone used its own product as the test subject and invested substantial R&D resources to complete a full-chain scientific verification of efficacy and tolerance. The complete, rigorous, and traceable experimental data provided by Gendone served as the core technical foundation for the product to pass the national review and be included in the Catalogue of Feed Additives.

The announcement also formally released the industry standard Feed Additive — Coated Guanidinoacetic acid (NYSL-1010-2026). Key provisions of the standard, including product technical requirements, quality indicators, and inspection specifications, were all established based on the product standard submitted by Gendone for its coated guanidinoacetic acid. This standard defines the coating process and product quality criteria for guanidinoacetic acid across the industry, providing a unified industry benchmark for the product’s application efficacy and safety assurance level.
